Bola Thompson is a pharmacist with over a decade of experience. She graduated from the University of Lagos, Nigeria in 2011 and completed her Master’s in Public Health with a focus on Community and Behavioral Health Promotion from the University of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She is the pioneer pharmacist of the MercyOne Population Health Services Organization (PHSO). Bola’s work at the PHSO involves targeted chronic disease management by collaborating with the medical group and care management staff, in addition to addressing social influencers of health, shared decision-making, and motivational interviewing to help patients navigate the complexity of health care, reduce cost, and chart their path to improved health outcomes. She enjoys using data to make informed decisions for the greater good of the community and is a health equity advocate and enthusiast. Bola is also an avid traveler who loves meeting new people and learning about new cultures.
